I can remember as a child always wanting to be a Mom. My Mom was awesome! She was an amazing woman that died way too young. But in those years we had together, she taught me everything she loved to do. I have been crocheting since I was 5 years old, Cross-stitch, Embroidery, Needlepoint, Sewing, and Quilting. As an adult, I added Spinning, Knitting and Weaving to my skills and you rarely find me without a project in my hands.
I have always loved the simpler things in life. And with my Mom’s encouragement to stay true to myself along with trying new skills and my Dad’s influence to take care of his family, Forest-Acres was born. I have been fortunate to be home with my children and even had the privilege of homeschooling them. They are amazing and a Mom couldn’t be more proud.
Because of my love of making things, and my endless list of allergies, I felt inspired to learn how to make soap. I now have over 20 varieties of soap, a line of soy botanical candles and hand-dyed and hand-painted yarns along with custom knitted and crocheted items. I love teaching Tri-Loom Weaving, Knitting and Crocheting and just added Tealightful Teas too…
Welcome to Forest-Acres!
